Dublin’s electronic music scene is one steeped in history, defined by its diehard community of dance fans and their insatiable appetite for the underground. For the past year, that very same community have frequented one of the city’s latest and most exciting club spots, Block., which we’re over the moon to welcome as a new event partner at Skiddle.

Located on Liberty Lane in the heart of Dublin 8, Block. is a 650-capacity venue delivering high-quality electronic music events week-in and week-out. Its programme brings some of the world’s most in-demand DJs to the Irish capital while creating valuable opportunities for homegrown artists, promoters and collectives to hone their crafts.

The venue may be a relatively fresh addition to the city, but its location comes with plenty of clubbing heritage. Liberty Lane has played an important role in Dublin’s dance music story, and Block. is building on that legacy with a modern, people-led approach.

Techno, house and everything in between can be heard within its walls, with international names including Saorise, Chris Liebing, Ben UFO, DJ Boring and Maya Jane Coles having all featured across line-ups in the past.

Collaboration also sits at the heart of the venue’s identity. Its regular “Block x” events see the team join forces with local promoters and established brands to curate distinctive club nights, helping different corners of Dublin’s electronic music community reach new audiences.

Its intimate but substantial capacity places the venue in a sweet spot. It’s large enough to host major touring talent, but compact enough to retain the atmosphere and connection that make a great club night feel special. And with its strict no-camera policy, to keep dancefloors entirely phone-free, it’s one of the most authentic and pure clubbing experiences you can find in the region.

Underpinning everything is a clear ambition: to provide Dublin with a consistent, high-production clubbing destination that the city can be proud of, all the while ensuring local talent remains part of the story.
