Music Venue Trust opens Liveline funding for grassroots venues, promoters and artists

Applications are now open for Liveline, a new funding initiative helping grassroots music venues, independent promoters and artists across the UK make more shows, tours and local music programmes happen.

Led by Music Venue Trust, Save Our Scene and the Association of Independent Promoters, Liveline provides targeted support to overcome the financial and practical barriers that can stop live music events from going ahead.

Funding is available for individual shows, tour dates, regular venue programmes, promoter development and longer-term local music initiatives.

Available funding

• Guarantorship Scheme: Underwrites up to 80% of approved losses on eligible shows.
• Tour Extension & Regional Access Fund: Helps extend tours into regions affected by travel, accommodation and geographical costs.
• Local Scene Development Fund: Supports regular programming, venue hire and promoter training.
• Genre Specific Safety and Access Fund: Assists scenes and communities facing additional costs or access barriers.

The scheme is backed by funding from Coldplay and the LIVE Trust, and aims to restore touring routes, strengthen local scenes and create more opportunities for artists to perform.
