A major milestone in the UK’s cultural calendar is on the horizon as Bradford Live, a £50 million redevelopment of the city’s historic Odeon building, prepares to open its doors in autumn 2025. The opening will align with Bradford’s year as UK City of Culture, positioning the venue as a centrepiece in the city’s cultural transformation.

Operated by Trafalgar Entertainment, the global live entertainment company behind Trafalgar Theatres, the venue is expected to drive significant footfall and investment into the region. With a capacity of over 3,000 seated or 3,500 standing, Bradford Live will host a year-round programme of concerts, comedy, theatre, and large-scale events.

The first acts have already been announced, with comedian Bill Bailey set to bring his ‘Thoughtifier’ tour to the venue on Saturday 30th August, coinciding with key City of Culture programming. More headliners are expected to be revealed in the coming months.

Originally built in the 1930s, the landmark Art Deco building has undergone a meticulous restoration led by Bradford Council and key development partners. The result is a versatile, high-spec performance space designed to attract major touring productions while remaining accessible for local organisers and community-led events.

Bradford Live represents a strategic investment in the North’s cultural economy. For promoters, agencies, and organisers, the venue offers an exciting new route into the Yorkshire market, supported by strong transport links, a growing visitor economy, and the promotional lift of the City of Culture campaign.
