An ambitious boxing brand with a passion for delivering knockout experiences to real fans of the sport, our most recently welcomed event partner, Block One Sports, aims to elevate boxing to new heights.
Founded by James Whitehill, the promotion brings fans closer to the sport’s real heartbeat than ever before, dialling in on the fighters and their preparation, the personalities and heated rivalries, and the crowd energy that builds long before the opening bell.
From exclusive training-camp access to behind-the-scenes fight-night content, Block One Sports creates a more immersive experience for boxing enthusiasts, keeping them connected pre-fight, ringside and long after the final round. For fighters, it provides a high-impact platform to showcase their talent and build their profile on a stage designed to get people talking.
It’s not just the bout on the poster that concerns Block One Sports. It’s the moments in the build-up and long after the final bell that keep people talking. And this ethos continues into what’s set to be a truly memorable encounter this coming September.
Undefeated WBC International Flyweight Champion Brandon Daord takes on undefeated WBC Africa Champion Ndabezinhle Phiri for the vacant IBO World Flyweight Championship.
For Daord, this is the biggest fight of his career. The Birkenhead fighter, now based in Liverpool, has long been seen as one of boxing’s best-kept secrets, but his rise has gathered serious momentum. After capturing the British super-flyweight title in 2025 with a hard-fought points win over Matt McHale, he stepped into 2026 by claiming the WBC International flyweight belt against Keyvin Lara.
Now 29, with Stephen Vaughan guiding the next phase of his career, Daord is making up for lost time and chasing the biggest stages the sport has to offer.
Phiri, meanwhile, arrives in Britain with his unbeaten record intact and a growing reputation of his own. The Zimbabwean champion has plenty of belief behind him, with many close to his camp convinced he has the tools to reach the very top of the sport.
With a full undercard of local fighters expected to be announced in the coming weeks, this is shaping up to be a proper statement night for Block One Sports and a major moment for boxing in Liverpool.
Tickets for Brandon Daord vs Ndabezinhle Phiri at Boxpark Liverpool are now available on Skiddle.
