Brighton’s famous beachfront, the scene of many unforgettable dance music spectacles over the years, is once again to host the always highly anticipated Brighton Music Conference (BMC) this spring.

Returning for its 13th edition – running from Wednesday 20th to Saturday 23rd May – the popular industry gathering will commandeer various venues across the city’s idyllic coastline, inviting professionals, celebrated brands and promoters, artists and more, for 4 days of networking, panel discussions and live performances.

On the programme for this year’s event, guests of BMC26 can expect to listen in on expert opinions and viewpoints on everything from Artificial Intelligence and its impact on electronic music, to publishing, artist development and representation, mental health and wellbeing. Plus, there’ll be workshops led by renowned artists, such as Beardyman and Saytek, demos from reputable names in hardware and gear, from Alphatheta to Technics, and a handful of insightful interviews and keynote speeches with legends of the scene – Greg Wilson and Dave Seaman among the list.

Other artists appearing across the event include Angie Brown, Anne Savage, Brandon Block, Denis Sulta, Anja Schneider, Arielle Free, Booker T, Carly Wilford, Huxley, Jess Bays, Judge Jules, Jumpin Jack Frost, and Matt Jam Lamont.

Of course, no Brighton Music Conference would be complete without an appearance from yours truly, and, as with previous instalments of the worthwhile event, we’ve thrown our support behind the occasion, sponsoring Theatre 4, the Industry Stage at The Carousels

As part of our sponsorship, we’ll be hosting some of our own panels, with seasoned moderator extraordinaire, our Head of Festival and Partnerships, Duncan King, welcoming a host of guests, all with a wealth of invaluable knowledge of the electronic music industry to share.

Catch our first panel, Supercharging electronic scenes, on Friday 22nd May at 10 am, to discover how the industry is rallying together to help strengthen growing regions outside of the usual city hubs, through workshops, mentorship schemes, bursaries and more.

Then, at 12 noon the same day, we’ll kick off our second and final panel discussion, Creativity with guts, looking into some of the bold new strategies being harnessed by dance music’s biggest events and brands to engage audiences.

When he’s finished chairing our panels, you’ll find Duncan and other members of the Skiddle team knocking around the other stages and venues.
