Two of the nation’s most esteemed event brands and highly regarded Skiddle partners, JBM Music and LOUDER recently joined forces to throw a drum & bass spectacular the likes of which British dance fans had never previously seen.

Commandeering the grounds of the Milton Keynes National Bowl, an iconic open-air amphitheatre that’s played host to some of the biggest names in music over the past three decades, both brands sought to deliver a one-off headline show that would send ripples through space and time, setting a precedent for all future large-scale drum & bass events held in the UK. So, who else better to lead such an ambitious project than master production duo, Saul Milton and Will Kennard AKA Chase & Status?

With the skills and artistry of the critically acclaimed twosome confirmed, the venue secured and the stage set, the doors opened last weekend, on Saturday 10th August, to welcome a staggering 45,000 ticket holders into the venue, making the show Chase & Status’ biggest ever headline event. The night was made even more unforgettable by a surprise appearance from grime superstar Stormzy.

Jorge Meehan, Director at JBM Music and Manchester night club, Joshua Brooks, commented on the unforgettable show, saying:

“Drum & bass history was made last Saturday at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes, with 45,000 attendees witnessing Chase & Status’s biggest headline show ever to date. It’s an event that live with me forever and will be a hard one to top. That being said, plans are already underway for more huge events at the awesome venue in summer 2025—stay tuned!”

Bill Rogers who heads up Marketing and Promotion at JBM Music remarked on the use of our services in the build-up to and whilst at the event:

“Skiddle was instrumental in ensuring a seamless entry process. They not only provided the necessary scanner equipment but also deployed a team of supervisors who expertly managed any ticketing issues on the day, ensuring smooth access for attendees and swift resolution of any problems.

“Additionally, Skiddle’s platform facilitated a sign-up campaign that effectively converted sign-ups into ticket sales. These features, including the provision of scanning equipment, streamlined both our ticketing and promotion processes, playing a crucial role in the event’s overall success and organisation.“
