The 2025 edition of the Night Time Economy Summit comes to Birmingham on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th February 2025. Hosting this year’s event, Hockley Social Club will become a hotbed for thought-provoking panel discussions and networking opportunities.

Night Time Economy Summit events are always teeming with eager event professionals, but this year’s summit is set to be the biggest yet. The Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) will welcome representatives from Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Portugal, the Republic of Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Spain, the United States and Wales. In addition, the summit will feature 4 stages, with two of the stages hosting specific themes across Thursday and Friday.

Speaking about the event, NTIA CEO, Micheal Kill said: “What truly sets this event apart is its commitment to accessibility, ensuring that everyone can take part. It’s about fostering knowledge and expanding networks while providing attendees the chance to assess the current state of the industry. This will enable us to reflect, debate, and exchange ideas and best practices aimed at creating a safer and more successful night-time economy for the future.”

The summit promises to unite the moving parts of the nighttime economy, providing a forum for discussion, connection and community building. Nightlife figureheads, culture experts and hospitality specialists will come together under one roof, sharing knowledge and contributing to the discussion on how we can best shape the present and future of our industry.

And best of all? You can be a part of it.

If the prospect of discussion and insight gets the creative juices flowing, stick around to discover what to expect from 2025’s Night Time Economy Summit. We’ll share everything you need to know, including stage information, new additions to the event and, of course, where to buy tickets.

What to expect from the Night Time Economy Summit

Kicking off the Night Time Economy Summit is the NTIA Empowering Women Brunch. Led by shesaid.so and The Network of Women In Events (NOWIE), the brunch will dive into the topic of empowering women in the nighttime economy. Last entry is at 10 am and tickets will become invalid after this time.

Once the summit begins, Stage 1 is the place to be for established and up-and-coming promoters. Here, you’ll be able to watch panel discussions regarding nightlife advocacy and hear from respected international and national thought leaders who will discuss urban safety, economic sustainability and the impact of technology on the industry.

Stage 2 is presented in collaboration with Defected Records with panels catered to the electronic music industry and discussing publishing trends, managing strategies and promotional techniques to help you and the acts you work with unlock greater success.

Perhaps the most notable change to the Night Time Economy Summit is Stage 3. On Day 1, panellists from around the world will discuss governance, innovation and how the nighttime economy can collaborate internationally.

On Day 2, the stage will transform. For the first time ever, the Night Time Economy Summit will host a stage dedicated to Queer nightlife. Led by presenter, DJ and promoter Gok Wan and supported by Gay Times and Stonewall, the stage will act as a hub to discuss inclusivity and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community’s rich contribution to the tapestry of nightlife in the UK.

The stage expands on the queer representation found at previous Night Time Economy Summit events. It’s a chance for established members of the LGBTQ+ nightlife community to make their voices heard and allow newcomers to connect with some of the scene’s leading lights.

But it’s not just nightlife on the agenda for 2025. Stage 4 will follow a similar pattern to Stage 3, with Day 1 playing host to the hospitality stage and showing the NTIA’s commitment to ensuring all members of the nighttime economy are represented and heard. On Day 2, the focus will shift to independent festivals and events, with panel discussions dedicated to finding pathways for these well-loved events to grow and expand their reach.

As mentioned earlier, community building is at the heart of the Night Time Economy Summit, and guests like Sacha Lord, Carly Heath, Gok Wan, Professor Fiona Mesham and Tak Umazawa will return for 2025. This ensures that the summit will build on previous discussions; a chance to reflect on a year’s worth of events and carve out a direction for the year ahead.
