Welcome To Skiddle: Laces Out

The sneaker scene is a worldwide movement, with trainer connoisseurs from all over the globe constantly on the hunt for that grail pair of shoes to add to their collection.

That’s why we’re delighted to welcome Liverpool’s LACES OUT! Trainer Festival to the Skiddle fold. Founded in 2014 by Rob May, the festival was born from Rob’s lifelong passion for footwear. This year, the festival celebrates its tenth anniversary.

Rob worked in the city’s Baltic Triangle, writing about sneakers. He noticed that the trainer festivals he saw around the world weren’t something that had hit the North West yet.

And so LACES OUT! was born. As well as being a space for sneakerheads to track down the rarest pieces, the festival brought the culture around the scene, booking hip-hop DJs and brand founders for performances and talks.

The festival has listed exclusively with Skiddle and used some of our features, too. Our Ticket Widget tool has allowed LACES OUT! to sell directly from their website, so fans can buy directly should they wish to grab a ticket.

The festival has grown in the decade since, moving from Camp & Furnace to the ACC Exhibition Centre. However, for the tenth anniversary, LACES OUT! returns to its original home in the Baltic Triangle.

With rare trainers, food and drink, global brands and panel appearances, this year’s LACES OUT! promises to be a fitting celebration for a beloved scene. We can’t wait to work with the team going forward.
