Seasonal Events Surge Ahead
One of the standout trends from Q3 was the significant increase in interest in seasonal events. Up by almost a third on last year’s figures, this spike bodes well for key occasions like Christmas and New Year’s Eve, offering plenty of opportunities for event organisers to capitalise on the festive demand.
Freshers Week Trends
It’s no secret that student nightlife habits have changed in recent years. With a 46% increase in event ticket sales for student-related events in September compared to last year, our team took to the streets to discover what freshers are really into. See the report for the findings.
Feature Focus: Event Series and Session-Based Ticketing
In Q3, we launched two exciting new features designed to streamline event management: Event Series and Session-Based Ticketing. These tools enable event organisers to save time by automatically creating and managing multiple event dates or sessions, all while providing customers with a seamless ticket-buying experience.
Our Head of Development, Neil Meredith, notes the impressive adoption of these features, with nearly 9,000 events created using Event Series and over 41,000 sessions booked with Session-Based Ticketing. Check the report for more about these new features.
Skiddle’s Performance: Growth and Success
Looking at Skiddle’s growth, Q3 2024 has shown impressive results, including an 18% rise in face-value sales and a 1.4% increase in app users when compared to last year. This means even more opportunities for your events to gain visibility and a higher chance of sales through Skiddle’s platform.
We’re also seeing an increase in average order value – up 13% from Q3 2023, demonstrating that customers are ready to invest in great experiences, especially as the holiday season approaches.
