Skiddle to Mark 25 Years in Events With Epic Celebration Event

Back in 2001, Richard Dyer and Ben Sebborn, two mates driven by a love of events and a keen eye for tech, were planting the seeds for an idea that would become a vital part of the UK’s event industry.
They scouted venues, searched high and low for DJs and settled on Preston’s Tokyo Jo’s: a nightlife institution loved by locals and travelling punters alike.
The floor was sticky, the drinks were 50p a go and the music – courtesy of Cream legend Paul Bleasdale – electrified the crowds.
That night, Skiddle had well and truly arrived.
25 years later, we’ve become one of the most trusted ticketing platforms in the country. We’ve helped tens of thousands of event promoters sell tickets to everything from intimate gigs in sweaty venues to major festivals, continuously developing technology to assist promoters in delivering fantastic experiences.
And on Thursday 30th April 2026, we’re inviting you to come along and celebrate with us at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
Because, as Richard says, “This is more than just a birthday, it’s a celebration of everyone who’s been part of the Skiddle journey.”
So, dig out your best clothes, grab your dancing shoes and celebrate with us. We’ll be hosting a curated awards presentation recognising partners and industry figures, then it’s on to dinner and drinks with a creative twist.
Expect to hear some of our favourite tunes on a dancefloor packed with decades of memories, all topped off with a dose of our signature organised chaos. Because, let’s face it: Skiddle wouldn’t be the same without it.
We’re not just commemorating our journey, we’re commemorating the promoters, partners, staff and supporters. This milestone belongs to you as much as it does to us.
