Announcing the latest instalment of our popular bursary scheme, the Skiddle Promoter Fund is open and taking applications from aspiring event organisers based in Northern Ireland.

The latest round of funding marks Skiddle’s first for 2024 and follows on from two successful funding initiatives delivered in 2023, which collectively saw more than £30,000 in grants awarded to student promoters and promoters based in Scotland.

Winners of last November’s Skiddle Promoter Fund, PEAK—a club night in Glasgow—recently appeared in an interview on Skiddle’s YouTube channel. The team discussed the positive impact the fund has had on their events and shared their thoughts on why others pursuing a career in events should consider applying for a grant. Click or tap HERE to watch the full interview.

Each applicant can apply for a grant of up to £1000, designated for organising an event in Northern Ireland during the summer of this year. Successful applicants will not only receive financial assistance but also benefit from invaluable guidance on various aspects including launch strategies, key sales dates, marketing, and ticketing from Skiddle’s seasoned in-house team.

Lisa Braithwaite, Senior Marketing Manager at Skiddle, said:

“Amidst a challenging economic climate for event organisers, both emerging and established, we are steadfast in our commitment to strengthening the community. Whether through educational initiatives or financial assistance, we’re dedicated to safeguarding the future of nighttime and event culture throughout the UK.

“In this latest round of funding, we’ve chosen specifically to champion the next generation of event organisers based in Northern Ireland. The scene in the region is undoubtedly one of the most inspiring and prolific in terms of music, art and culture at present, and we’re excited to see the new ideas and events that are formed as a result of our initiative.”

The Skiddle Promoter Fund for Northern Ireland is now open. Those interested in applying for a grant can register their interest in the bursary via the link below. The deadline for all applications is Sunday 30th June 2024. Those who are chosen to receive the bursary will be contacted via email in the weeks following.
