Skiddle Partners with Gaydio to Champion Pride Events Across the UK

With Pride Month now underway, Skiddle is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Gaydio – the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ radio station – as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community and those organising Pride events through our platform.

Celebrating Pride with Purpose

Throughout June, we’ll be celebrating the vibrant LGBTQ+ community and recognising its lasting impact on UK culture. Our campaign will look at the history of Pride, including the 1969 Stonewall Riots and the movement’s role in advancing equality and representation.

We’ll also spotlight some of the incredible Pride events taking place across the UK this season. Expect conversations with organisers, behind-the-scenes insights from Skiddle-listed events, and examples of how our tools help bring people together to celebrate identity, build community, and create unforgettable experiences.

Why Gaydio?

A cornerstone of queer media in the UK, Gaydio reaches over 535,000 weekly listeners, broadcasting across key cities including London, Manchester, Brighton, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Glasgow via FM, DAB, online, and through their mobile app and smart speakers.

Gaydio’s impact extends beyond broadcasting, with 400,000 monthly website visitors, 50,000 app users, and over 185,000 social media followers. They also run inclusive initiatives such as the Gaydio Pride Awards and Gaydio Academy, and work with brands like British Airways and Drayton Manor.

What This Means for Skiddle Promoters

This partnership is designed to support both the LGBTQ+ community and the organisers behind the UK’s biggest and most inclusive Pride events. Gaydio already plays a central role at many of the country’s leading Pride occasions, making this collaboration a perfect match.

As part of the partnership, Skiddle is sponsoring Gaydio’s weekday afternoon shows, giving us airtime to promote LGBTQ+ events listed on Skiddle to thousands of engaged listeners actively looking for events to attend. To further support this, a click campaign will run alongside the sponsorship, featuring banner ads, e-flyers, and targeted social content driving traffic directly to Skiddle listings.
