The UK’s festival scene is arguably the best in the world: diverse in its experiences, globally renowned, and home to household names like Reading & Leeds, Creamfields, and Glastonbury. Economically, it’s a powerhouse, generating billions of pounds in value and supporting tens of thousands of jobs. And now, thanks to a brand new partnership between Skiddle and the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), it’s about to get even stronger.

It gives us great pleasure to announce a major new initiative offering free AIF memberships and bespoke marketing support to over 25 independent UK-based festivals, intending to bolster the sector for years to come. Whether you’re already listing with us or not, if you’re running a festival in its second year or older and looking to grow, this one’s for you.

Why this partnership matters

Since 2008, AIF has stood as a powerful collective voice for independent festivals, championing non-corporate events across the UK. From leading campaigns like Safer Spaces at Festivals to delivering essential resources like legal support, training, and knowledge-sharing, they’ve been instrumental in helping festivals thrive.

Skiddle’s mission has always been to empower independent promoters and festivals. So this collaboration with AIF? It’s a no-brainer.

“Driven by our long-standing commitment to the independent festival sector and a passion for supporting the incredible experiences the UK has to offer, we’ve teamed up with the AIF to help strengthen the industry for years to come.”

— Duncan King, Head of Festivals & Partnerships, Skiddle

What you’ll get if selected

Selected festivals will benefit from a fully funded one-year AIF membership, plus a festival-focused Skiddle support package designed to drive awareness and ticket sales.

Here’s what’s included:

  • Featured listing in Skiddle’s Festival Guide, seen by millions of monthly visitors
  • Editorial and content promotion to showcase your event and lineup
  • Paid media support to reach new audiences
  • Dedicated account management from Skiddle’s festival experts

Who can apply?

If you’re running a UK-based festival entering at least your second year, and you’re happy to allocate some tickets for your 2026 edition to be listed on Skiddle, you’re eligible to apply. Simple as that. Please note that an allocation of tickets for your 2026 festival must be listed on Skiddle at the time of applying. See our full terms and conditions for more.

Oh, and you don’t need to be a current Skiddle client. We’re opening the door to all qualifying festivals, regardless of their existing ticketing partner.

A joint Skiddle x AIF panel will review all applications, and selected festivals will be announced this September.
