A new online education platform, EventMasters, has launched, intending to transform access to careers in the live events sector and offer practical, real-world insight to the next generation of promoters, producers, and festival entrepreneurs.

Developed by industry veterans Nick Morgan (CEO of We Group and Vice Chair of the Association of Independent Festivals) and Addi Merrill (founder of creative consultancy Addi London), EventMasters delivers structured, expert-led learning for people at every stage of their events journey – from students and career changers to freelancers and first-time organisers.

A Practical Gateway into Events Careers

EventMasters’ debut course, Festival Futures, went live this week. Designed to be self-paced and highly practical, it spans everything from event fundamentals and production logistics to marketing, budgeting, and sustainability. Learners gain lifetime access to seven modules, packed with real-world examples, expert video content and downloadable tools including budget templates and site plans, all for a launch price of £349.

“The events sector is growing rapidly, but access to practical, high-quality education remains limited,” said Morgan. “EventMasters bridges that gap, helping learners prepare for the realities of the industry with tools, knowledge and insight that would normally take years to build.”

Backed by Industry Experience

Between them, the founders have worked across major festivals, brand campaigns and international live experiences. Morgan’s agency network – which includes The Fair, We Are OPS and We Are Placemaking – supports some of the UK’s most respected events, including Boiler Room: London, Labyrinth and Gottwood, while Merrill’s global career has seen her lead experiential campaigns for fashion and lifestyle giants, including her award-winning Festival Ready campaign.

Their shared goal is to make the events and festival industry more accessible to a broader range of people and position it as a viable career path, not just for those already “in the know,” but for anyone with drive, creativity and curiosity.

“EventMasters is a game-changer,” added Merrill. “It’s about giving people from all backgrounds the confidence and skills to step into this world professionally – whether you’re starting fresh or want to level up your freelance journey.”

In addition to Festival Futures, the platform will soon roll out a range of Masterclasses, beginning with:

  • Careers Masterclass with Yasmin Galletti – launched yesterday (15th May)
  • Subcultures & Audiences with Sarah Feeney – due later this month

These short-format sessions explore niche areas of the industry, combining expert insight with downloadable tools. A Level 2 Intermediate Course and monthly webinars are also in development for later in the year.
