Black Friday (29th November) and Cyber Monday (2nd December) are just around the corner and it’s time to make sure your events are in front of the eyes of eager eventgoers who can’t wait to take advantage of great deals. 

Black Friday and Cyber Monday – known collectively as The Cyber Weekend – is one of the UK’s biggest shopping events. In a study carried out by YouGov, Sarika Rana, Head of Consumer Insights at YouGov UK, stated that “almost a third of Brits [are] likely to take part in Black Friday sales and 50% [spent] over £100 last year”. 

But you’ll have to act fast. Black Friday is a day away and Cyber Monday is just 3 days away. Now, you might be thinking: why should I get involved with Black Friday and Cyber Monday on Skiddle?

Plus, according to YouGov, a whopping 72% of people said that discounts and deals motivated them to shop during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Offering discounts is also said to influence people to buy even if they hadn’t initially intended to make a purchase. 

But it’s not just about securing a quick sale. By offering discounts on holidays like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you position your event brand as a place where customers can get great deals. This sticks in the mind. Not only are you offering something of value – your event – you’re also offering value on top of it in the form of a discount.

How do I get involved with Black Friday & Cyber Monday on Skiddle?

The clock is ticking! Complete these steps today and ensure your events are involved in our Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotion. 

  • Step 1 – Head to the Skiddle Promotion Centre and log in if you have an account. If you don’t, sign up HERE.
  • Step 2 – Create an event. If you already have one listed, go straight to step 3.  
  • Step 3 – Head to ‘View All Events’ on the left-hand menu and pick the event that you’d like to enable a discount code for.
  • Step 4 – Once you’ve chosen your event, you’ll be taken to the ‘Event Dashboard’. Click ‘Manage Tickets’ and then click ‘Discount Codes’.
  • Step 5 – From here, you’ll be able to set up a Promotion, which will let you create a discount code for your event.
  • Step 6 – Select a name for your promotion and set the discount percentage.
    We recommend a 20% discount, as data from previous years shows that this is popular with customers. Select the ticket you’d like the promotion to apply to, choose ‘Single Use’, generate one discount code and then paste ‘blackfriday24’ into the box at the bottom. Please note: codes entered in the Promotion Centre have to be lowercase, but when your customers use the code at checkout, codes can be entered in lower or uppercase. 
  • Step 7 – Click ‘Save’. Congratulations, you’ve set up a Black Friday and Cyber Monday discount code!

The code is universal and when used, it automatically qualifies your discounted ticket to be included in our exclusive marketing campaign.
