Brighton Music Conference (BMC) returns this month from the 21st to 24th May 2025, bringing a wealth of insider knowledge for event industry professionals, kicking off with an opening party on the 21st and featuring A&R sessions, panel discussions and well-being sessions across the three days.
The conference will take place across a range of venues across the seafront, including Lazy Fin, The Tempest and The Arch, promising quality discussion and actionable tips.
Events like BMC are crucial for promoters, offering the chance to make lasting professional connections, spark inspiration for new ideas and learn what’s happening in our industry.
We’re delighted to say that we’ll be sponsoring Theatre 1, Harbour Hotel, at this year’s Brighton Music Conference. Our Head of Festivals & Partnerships, Duncan King, will moderate two panel discussions we’re holding at BMC: The Power of No and Who Is Looking After The Industry’s Mental Health?
These talks will bring together DJs, artist liaisons and industry professionals to discuss achieving work-life balance and signpost those who work in the music and event worlds to tailored support.
We’ll also be holding a panel discussion titled The Case for Being Yourself, which will tackle the side effects of social media, where artists and DJs can feel pressured to present a version of themselves that doesn’t reflect who they truly are.
To kick off last week’s Mental Health Awareness Week, we released the results of our year-long mental health survey. Our sponsorship of the Health, Wellbeing & Lifestyle stage at this year’s Brighton Music Conference marks the beginning of our response to the issues raised in the survey.
Whether you’ve already booked your tickets and train fare or you’re still weighing up whether to attend, think of our suggestions as the starting point for your day’s plan. We’ve taken a deep dive into the programme, analysed what’s on offer, and picked our top 5 talks to attend at this year’s event. Read on to see the reasoning behind our choices.
