The Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) has announced the 2025 instalment of the annual Night Time Economy Summit, taking place at Birmingham’s Hockley Social Club from Wednesday 5th to Thursday 6th February next year.

The summit, in collaboration with Skiddle and various other partners, including the West Midlands Combined Authority, shesaid.so, ACS, Defected and the International Nightlife Association, to name a few, promises to elevate the conversation around the night-time economy with an international flair.

Guests can expect dedicated stages for international speakers, with representatives from Europe, Japan, the U.S., Canada, South America, and Australia all confirmed to attend, focusing on key themes such as queer spaces, sustainability, well-being, and more.

Proceedings will kick off with the shesaid.so Brunch, featuring a keynote speech discussing equality and key industry trends. The speech will also be used to spotlight influential voices and artists from the West Midlands, emphasising the region’s cultural richness.

Other highlights of the approaching event include the introduction of a full Queer stage, developed in partnership with Gay Times and Stonewall, aimed at addressing diversity and inclusion challenges, and a new and groundbreaking initiative, the Listen for Life Campaign, set to be launched at the summit and supported by the World Health Organization (WHO). This initiative aims to promote hearing conservation in entertainment venues, ensuring safe listening environments for staff and patrons.

This gathering will unite influential voices to discuss a variety of important topics, addressing both long-term objectives and immediate challenges.”

“What truly sets this event apart is its commitment to accessibility, ensuring that everyone can take part. It’s about fostering knowledge and expanding networks while providing attendees the chance to assess the current state of the industry. This will enable us to reflect, debate, and exchange ideas and best practices aimed at creating a safer and more successful night-time economy for the future.”

As a travelling conference, the Night Time Economy Summit celebrates the unique contributions of local nightlife scenes while underscoring the importance of collaboration, to drive innovation and resilience within the night-time economy.
