With this year’s festival season now closed, our attention is firmly focused on promoting the thousands of upcoming autumnal events – be they Freshers parties, spooky Halloween experiences or Bonfire bonanzas – to the wave of avid event-goers currently flooding the Skiddle site.
This year sees the first fully-open Freshers Week since 2019, and students across all four home nations are raring to get out and experience what their new homes have to offer.
To help drive traffic to your listings, we’ve launched a nationwide campaign focusing on 20 major university cities. Supported by 70 Skiddle ambassadors, our ‘Welcome To…’ campaign will promote the numerous Freshers’ events happening across the UK with tickets available on Skiddle. Furthermore, we’re actively working hard to improve our SEO, by updating our landing pages and by creating new and relevant content published via the Skiddle blog.
Adding to the hysteria of this busy time of year, we’ll also be hosting our very own free-to-enter Freshers bash at Manchester’s Hatch this evening! Running from 6 pm until midnight, guests will be entertained by a number of live performances from a list of upcoming artists and DJs, with a score of food options and drinks also available throughout the evening.
In other news…
Our Account Management team have recently reported a score of new multi-year contract renewals with prominent promoters the likes of Garage Nation, Out Of Phase events and Rotunda Comedy Club, to name a few, whilst our Business Development team have also been extremely busy as of late.
Bringing on a spate of fantastic new clients representing well-known venues and event brands, be sure to look out for next week’s Skiddle update to learn more in our monthly ‘Welcome To Skiddle’ feature.
Before you go…
For those of you who’ve recently subscribed to our Skiddle Update – sent out every Thursday – we regularly share details referencing new features coming to the Skiddle Promotion Centre as well as improvements made to existing functions, to enhance your experience of promoting with Skiddle.
Below, you find a handful of some of our most recent feature spotlights. Discover more about these new features and learn if they can be of assistance to you and your upcoming events.
Invite team members to your account:
In desperate need of another pair of hands to help promote your events? Good news! You can now invite your colleagues to your account and grant them permission to manage certain aspects of your events or account.
Need to add your finance team so they can view your remittance reports, but don’t want them messing with your event/ticketing setup? Or have a junior member of staff you’d like to help with listing events, but want to keep them away from the bank details? All of this is now possible.
Simply go to your account settings by selecting the account icon in the top right-hand corner of the dashboard screen, click on ‘Manage or invite users’, add in the names and email addresses of your teammates and an invitation will be sent.
Please note – All users will need to be using the Beta Promotion Centre to take advantage of this feature.

Improved Remittance Reports:
We’ve recently improved our Remittance reports to give a full in-depth breakdown of your overall, unpaid and paid remittances. We’ve also fixed a bug where the ‘Cleared for payment’ figure wasn’t displaying correctly. There’s now more information on funds which are being held due to any applicable reserve on your account.
We realise financial reporting is very important and that it can be complex. We’ll be adding more information to these reports soon, so keep your eyes peeled for further updates. Or see below to find out how to contact us with any improvements you’d like to see!
To view the Remittance reports, head to (Finance > Remittance) within the Beta Promotion Centre.
