Geologists are predicting some serious seismic activity on the North West coast this April, as a heavyweight bill of entertainers takes to the ornate stage of the Blackpool Tower Ballroom to mark Skiddle’s 25th birthday.
Among the talents lined up to wow guests during our milestone anniversary awards ceremony are drumming DJ extraordinaire Monka, ventriloquist and comedian Max Fulham, CBBC’s favourite BAFTA-winning presenter duo Katie and Hacker T Dog, and legend of the Liverpool Music Scene, Mark Armstrong.
On the evening itself, doors will open at 5:30 pm, with guests invited to take their seats before the entertainment begins. The evening’s programme will unfold between courses of mouthwatering cuisine prepared by the talented chefs at local caterers Totally D’vine. Once everyone is well fed and fully immersed in the occasion, the evening’s charismatic compere, and bona fide national treasure, Sir Lenny Henry, will take to the stage to announce the winners of this year’s much-coveted awards, before the night’s celebrations move into full swing.
Kicking off from 10:30 pm, the official Skiddle Awards Afterparty will have the venue and its merry patrons rocking right through until the early hours. Soundtracked by celebrated DJ duo The Slammin Boys – known for their long-running Galaxy FM show and residencies at Manchester’s HOME nightclub in the 90s – the after-hours party will feature top-drawer soul and funky house selections from the two seasoned selectors. And joining them are even more special guests, which we will be announcing next week
“How do I get my hands on tickets to this epic afterparty?” we hear you cry.
Ticket holders for the main event will automatically gain entry to the evening’s grand finale. If you can’t make the awards themselves but still fancy the afterparty, then join us by grabbing your ticket on Skiddle.
45 days to go – see you on the dancefloor!
