Youth Music has launched the latest round of its NextGen Fund, offering grants of up to £3,000 to help young musicians and music-based creatives develop new projects and ideas. Applications for Round 11 are now open and will close on Friday, 7th February 2025. The fund is available to individuals aged 18-25, with eligibility extended to disabled and neurodivergent people up to 30. Applicants must be based in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, or Wales.
The NextGen Fund targets creatives early in their careers who often lack access to essential resources or professional networks. It supports a wide range of roles, including musicians, producers, engineers, DJs, as well as managers, promoters, agents, A&R representatives, and music activists. Full eligibility details are available here.

This year, Youth Music has made key changes to broaden access and provide greater financial support. The maximum grant has increased from £2,500 to £3,000, reflecting rising living costs, and the equipment spending limit has been raised to £700. Starting in 2025, there will now be two funding rounds per year. Applicants who do not secure funding can immediately reapply in the next round, removing the previous waiting period.
Youth Music’s NextGen Fund continues to be a vital resource for emerging creatives, empowering new voices in the music industry. To learn more and apply, visit https://youthmusic.org.uk/nextgen/nextgen-fund.
